Grand Opening Announced for Upcoming Veterans Day Weekend


1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced today that their Grand Opening will be held over Veterans Day Weekend, Thursday, November 7th through Sunday, November 10th.

1350 Distilling’s name is inspired by the 13 stripes and 50 stars of the Star Spangled Banner. Each of their products represent a different branch of the military. Currently they offer their Minuteman Vodka, Blue Jacket Rum, and Guardian Bourbon representing the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard respectively. Their next product, Wingman Gin will represent the United States Air Force.

“We have a wide assortment of fun activities planned for each day of the Veteran’s Day Weekend and our Grand Opening.” stated 1350 Distilling’s president and head distiller, LtCol Phillip Bragg, USMC Retired. “Each day represents the diversity of our organization and all of the great expectations we have for becoming a pillar of the Colorado Springs community.”

Thursday, November 7th will kick off the weekend by hosting their first-ever “Trivia Night” with This is a Clue Trivia from 6-8pm. There are three rounds with prizes at the end of each round. Teams of up to 8 members can participate for free.

The Hot Box Food Truck will provide food options to guests.

Friday, November 8th - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 3pm with Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs.

Friday, November 8th is “Charity Night” where three local non-profit organizations (Mt. Carmel Veteran Service Center, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Colorado Springs, and Project Angel Heart) will have resource tables sharing the positive charitable work they are providing to our community from 5-7pm. For this evening, 13.50% of sales will be donated equally to the three visiting organizations.

Slow Downz Food Truck will provide food options this evening.

Saturday, November 9th is the main “Celebration Day” from noon-10pm.

There will be food trucks (Green Line Grill Noon-4 and Slow Downz Food Truck 4-8pm).

Door prizes will be raffled off every hour. Book Signing by veteran and author, Mike Root will begin at 3:30pm. Mr. Root will be selling and signing his latest book, "For God and For Country".

The Local Motive Party Bus will be parked out front from 5-8pm so you can check out how cool it is when you win tickets to ride.

Face painting for kiddos, and Combat Jeepers of Colorado will have some members showing off their big boy toys.

Lastly, on Sunday, November 10th, 1350 Distilling will host a United States Marine Corps Birthday Ceremony at 1600 (4pm). There will be cake and punch provided to celebrate... and rum, vodka, and bourbon, of course.
