Last week we had a handful of Colorado Springs Firefighters join us to bottle our upcoming, Limited Edition Memorial Bourbon made exclusively for the upcoming International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local Chapter 5's Fallen Firefighter Memorial to be held Saturday 16 September at Memorial Park. This is the first time we have had a crew come in to help us finish our product. It was a great experience and fun for all of us.
"Many hands make for light work."
The Memorial Bourbon is 100 Proof / 50% ABV blended with our Guardian Bourbon and Leatherneck Rye Whiskey for an amazingly smooth sipper.
There are only 240 bottles which will be available for purchase for $75 each starting Wednesday 13 September. A portion of these bottles' sales will be donated to our local firefighters.
The Memorial Bourbon will be available for purchase starting Wednesday 13 September at 5pm in our Taste Lounge (520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in East Downtown Colorado Springs) and will not be available for purchase anywhere else.
We will be limiting purchases to one bottle of Memorial Bourbon per customer until Saturday 16 September unless we run out. These will be "first come, first served" with no pre-order or reservations.
Since opening in 2019, 1350 Distilling has been involved with the Annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial held every September (even over the dark years of the pandemic). We have donated to several local fire departments in the region including Ft. Carson, Fountain, and Colorado Springs in a number of ways, but this year we are pleased to announce our partnership with IAFF Local Chapter 5 and Colorado Springs Firefighter Foundation with the release of our Memorial Bourbon.
Local 5 hosts and are the keepers of the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial located at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs on the SE corner of Pikes Peak Avenue and Hancock. 1350 Distilling is only half a mile due west from the Memorial at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. We have numerous friends and family who protect our community through fire departments across the nation. The Memorial site and ceremonies are awe-striking to witness. This ceremonious weekend holds a special place in the 1350 owners' hearts as the names of the brave men and women are announced and presented on their walls of the memorial.
