FIVE ALARM COCKTAILS

In Colorado Springs this week of September 16-22, 2024 the city will encounter thousands of outside visitors converging for the 2024 International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Fallen Firefighter Memorial.

We here at 1350 Distilling "Celebrate the American Spirit of our military (and first responders) and their loved ones, one drink at a time."

Award-winning Five Alarm Cinnamon Fire Bourbon

Our flagship 1350 Spirit that is dedicated to Firefighters and First Responders is our award-winning Five Alarm Cinnamon Fire Bourbon (80 Proof/40% ABV). It starts as a three-year aged, 99% corn straight bourbon which we then infuse real cinnamon into to make a flavored whiskey like no other. This is what other "cinnamon whiskies" wish they could be but can't because they don't use real cinnamon with real bourbon whiskey like 1350. We do not add any extra coloring, flavorings, sugars, preservatives, propylene glycol, or thickening agents found in many flavored whiskies and other distilled spirits.

Smell that enticing cinnamon aroma, sip and taste amazing bourbon, while on the finish, the cinnamon drifts back into your palate softly similarly to cinnamon sprinkled on a hot cocoa or coffee.

Five Alarm is a perfect Autumn spirit, ideal for Hot Toddies, Spiked Hot Apple Cider or Spiked Egg Nog. Our most popular Five Alarm cocktail is our Fire Marshall Bill, our maple syrup Old Fashioned, however, we have added a couple of amazing cocktails specifically for this month and week honoring our firefighters.

Our September Cocktail of the Month is "Station 1" - named for our local Fire Station 1 just blocks away from our distillery in EaDoCoS (East Downtown Colorado Springs).

Starting this Wednesday 18 September at 4pm, along with our Limited Edition Release of our Memorial Bourbon, we are also releasing a creative special cocktail from our local mixologist, Katie, the "Smoke Eater". In the 1800s, firefighters wore the name “smoke eater” with pride. The term represented a life spent running towards danger to save people and property from harm, regardless of the personal health risks.

The 1350 Distilling cocktail "Smoke Eater" includes a pear-infused Five Alarm Cinnamon Fire Bourbon for an extra layer of Fall.

If you live in Colorado, there are many places you can pick up a bottle of Five Alarm, including our Taste Lounge at 520 E. Pikes Peak Ave. If you live outside the state, we do sell our products direct-t0-consumers in up to 35 states. Get your bottle today.

While many will be paying their respects at this year's Fallen Firefighter Memorial, we know many more memories will be created during the honoring and grieving process. We hope our 1350 Distilling Spirits will accompany their conversations, laughter and tears of loss as we all raise our glasses and claim, "Here's to our Firefighters and First Responders!"
