One Year Anniversary - Leatherneck Whiskey Release

PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW 1350 DISTILLING SPIRIT COMMEMORATES ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY - USMC BIRTHDAY

1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced today they will release their seventh distilled spirit, Leatherneck Whiskey on the United States Marine Corps’ 245th birthday on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. The historic celebration coincides with the business’ one year anniversary of opening their Taste Lounge located at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in Downtown Colorado Springs.

“This first year has been a battle for us, as it has been for businesses around the country,” stated veteran, owner, and head distiller, LtCol Phill Bragg, USMC Retired, “but we have fought through the challenges so it is only fitting that we release a new spirit dedicated to the Marines on our one year anniversary– Semper Fi! Of course, without the support of our local liquor stores and our many great customers, things may have turned out different. We will always be grateful to the community and will continue to find ways to give back.”

Leatherneck Whiskey is a three-year, barrel-aged, 90 proof (45% ABV) rye whiskey. It is the final spirit in 1350 Distilling’s line of products that pay homage to our nation’s military branches that include Wingman Gin (Air Force), Guardian Bourbon (Coast Guard), Minuteman Vodka (Army), and Blue Jacket Rum (Navy).

The new product can be purchased at 1350 Distilling on November 10 and at many local liquor stores in the Pikes Peak region. A full list of locations can be found HERE.

1350 Distilling’s name is inspired by the 13 stripes and 50 stars of the Star Spangled Banner. The business is veteran, teacher and women-owned. Ten percent of profits are pledged towards local veteran and family non-profit charities.
